A quick introduction to this site.
Day-tripping to a European capital to spend the morning discussing dry processes and policies with an investment firm, I’d taken one of the lesser known men’s style journals with me on the plane.
Reading its thoughtful editorial, full of passion for its subject – honest reflections on style, histories full of fashion faux pas, trial and error, memories of fathers’ fashions, dressing successfully for work, play, travel, family, success – really touched a chord. It chimed with my own outlook on style and modern-day men’s living. And it gave me the seeds of an idea: to get involved. To do. To participate. To balance dry work with something more creative.
Then a holiday with my wife State-side inspired a name and a concept: 16th Street Design. Menswear style and culture, English, British, international – from Aquascutum to Zegna. Sharing individual finds, high street and online. But also harnessing views from others who share a similar ethos and approach – to men’s fashion, but (so much more importantly) to life!
